McRoa has been photographing since 1985. He studied photography and graphic design at the Rotterdam Academy of Visual Arts, now the Willem de Kooning Academy.

Beyond reality

A few years ago he devoted himself to researching and abstracting reality in his photographs. Using various techniques he creates digital paintings. Sometimes abstract, but often figurative and almost always with a preference for bright, outspoken colours and shapes.
